Onsite Inspection & Accident Investigation
We provide onsite inspection and accident/failure investigation support when you need someone to come look at an issue in person, document it properly, and help determine cause and corrective action.
Onsite inspections are often appropriate for large equipment failures, structural concerns, or any situation where the subject of the assessment is not practical to transport.
What We Do Onsite
Visual Inspection & Documentation
We document the condition of the part or structure as-is, including photos and notes on fracture surfaces, deformation, corrosion, wear, or anything else relevant.Initial Failure Assessment
We provide an initial opinion on what the failure looks like (overload, fatigue, corrosion, etc.) and flag anything that may need further testing.Sampling & Evidence Handling
If material needs to be removed for testing, we help make sure it’s done in a way that preserves the important features. We can also maintain basic documentation of how samples were handled if needed.Coordination
We can work directly with your team, contractors, or inspectors onsite to make sure everyone is aligned on what’s being looked at and what the next steps are.
Follow-Up Testing (If Needed)
If the situation requires more than a visual inspection, we can bring samples back to our lab for:
Mechanical testing (tensile, impact, hardness, bend)
Chemical analysis (OES)
Metallography (microstructure, fracture evaluation, etc.)
What You Can Expect
Clear documentation of what was observed
Straightforward explanation of what it likely means
Additional testing only when it adds value
A written report if requested
Service Area
We are based in Dallas Fort-Worth, but may be able to travel out of state or even out of country depending on the job.
